The Challenge Course at Grizzly Creek Ranch is a state
of the art accessible ropes course.
If you didn't already know, a ropes course, (or challenge
course,) is a series of obstacles made of rope and cable,
designed to promote group cooperation and individual
achievement.
Our course is built in the trees around the main meadow
and cabins of Grizzly Creek Ranch. The 25 or more elements
on the course provide an accessible challenge or situation
for campers to resolve by group cooperation and individual
initiative. It is also a safe way to build self-confidence
and a real sense of accomplishment.
The course was designed and constructed specifically
to assist the needs of campers. All elements, low and
high, allow campers with a wide variety of disabilities
to share in this peak experience of camp. Activities
are supervised by staff members trained in challenge
course use and safety.
