The Grizzly Creek Ranch camp experience is designed
for children with special needs and offers them an opportunity
to grow physically, personally and socially in a safe,
fun and positive environment.
Located near Portola, California, Grizzly Creek Ranch
is approximately 130 miles east of Sacramento and 40
miles west of Reno. Situated at an elevation of 5,000
feet the developed facilities cover about 20 acres of
the 1500 acre property. The surrounding forest, bluffs,
streams and meadows ensure that the Grizzly Creek Ranch
experience is free of distractions from the outside
world.
The facility offers camp opportunities in the summer
months for children and operates as a retreat and conference
center in the off season. Operational support of Grizzly
Creek Ranch comes from Sierra
Health Foundation, a private, independent philanthropy
based in Sacramento, California.
